Starting off a new series, Quick Takes, where we sit down for 1-2 minutes and talk through one topic quickly and that's it.

This episode is about Tesla and the great Q1 they had against seemingly all odds.

Eddie Thomas:

Hey, what is going on? Welcome to the life finance in between podcasts YouTube video. So what this is, is this is going to be the first of many where I don't know what the segments going to be called yet, but I know what it will be, it's going to be me coming on here and explaining a concept going through a thought in a minute, two minutes or less. And the reason I was wanting to make quick content while I get right to the point, you guys, as viewers can take one to two minutes, see what the information is and keep your day moving. So for this first one might be a couple of minutes longer, but that's okay, because I was explaining the concept. So what I want to talk about in this first video, again, don't have the name yet, but Tesla's on real growth in q1 of 2022 versus q1 2021 and the path that EVs are on, and this kind of shows it. So Tesla delivered 310,000 vehicles in q1 2020 to 40% increase from q1 2021 when they only delivered 185,000 every other major car yellowtail retailer between GM, Toyota Ford, they were all down multiple digits, percent percentage wise. So sales are down 15%, GM down 24% For down 17% and down 27%. So to me, this shows the path, the path that Tesla was on, they're going to continue to have good sales, they're going to continue to have a superior product. And as we make this transition into EVs, as gas prices are a little bit higher, we're going to continue to see this growth, they might have a couple quarters, they don't they don't have that great of growth. And somehow they still avoided the semiconductor chip shortage that is plaguing the other auto manufacturers in the market. But keep your eye on Tesla going forward that they're showing this unbelievable growth quarter after quarter when other car manufacturers just aren't doing so but that's what I want to go over today. I'll catch you guys on the next one. Securities offered through securities America Inc. Member FINRA slash SIPC. advisory services offered through securities America advisors Inc.
